Exit 9 Wine & Liquor Warehouse

Hand Selected Single Barrels

Hand selected by a small group of employees here at Exit 9 Wine & Liquor Warehouse, our single barrel selection has grown in recent years to one of the largest in the entire Northeast.

We sample barrels on a regular basis, and never buy one just to buy one. Each of the products below is stamped with our seal of approval and offers customers an opportunity to try unique expressions of their favorite brands, and also some truly one-of-a-kind bottlings from producers like Maker's Mark, Barrel Craft Spirits, High West and more!

From big national brands, to small producers from around the country, we have a single barrel bottling for everyone.

El Tesoro is known for for doing everything the old fashioned way.

From slow cooking their agave, to crushing it with a hand-driven Tahona, they know the tequila-making process and never cut corners. This single barrel Reposado is evidence of that.

This one toes the line between the mature Anejos and youthful Blancos with some agave sweetness and barrel influenced notes of caramel and vanilla.

Before we talk about the whiskey, let's take a second to appreciate the packaging.

You've probably seen the redesign on Hudson's labels, and they scream New York with the subway sign-style label. A sharp bottle, for sure, this one jumps off the shelf and proclaims itself as
"your favorite whiskey."

A younger-style bourbon, the nose is grain forward with a hint of green apple. At 92 proof, the palate is mild and warming with notes of vanilla and caramel.

Maker's Mark Private Select gives retailers the opportunity to craft a near one-of-a-kind bourbon. The outcomes are practically limitless, with over a thousand possible stave combinations.

Our two latest selections--our 7th and 8th barrels--are exceptional showcases for the stave finishing process and provide two completely different looks at what Maker's Mark can be with a little bit of creativity and work!

An outstanding bourbon from the mind of Greg Metze--former Master Distiller of MGP. This wheated bourbon rivals all the traditional wheaters (i.e., Weller, Maker's Mark, Larceny, etc.).

We selected this single barrel for its creamy mouthfeel and notes of dark fruit, vanilla and oak.

If you're looking for Weller, we recommend grabbing this instead!

Whistle Pig single barrels are always super impressive.

Whether we've gone to the distillery up in Vermont, or had samples sent down to us at the store, we've always had great luck with the 10-year barrels.

A big, bold style rye, Whistle Pig looks beautiful in the glass with a deep and rich color. Herbal and floral notes dominate the palate with a traditionally spicy finish.
