Halloween is just over a week away. It's going to be a party weekend, and there are lots of wines - and spirits - with which to celebrate. At Exit 9 there's a fun selection around the witch with the weird green eyes in the front of the store.

You'll find several "Vampire" red wines, and a "Bloody Cabernet" from - yes! - Transylvania!!

I couldn't resist the Hob Nob Wicked Red, a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, and Pinot Noir from the Pays D'Oc in the south of France.

Its limited edition bottle has a cool label design with a festive skull and some skeletons drinking red wine. Irresistible.

The wine is very tasty. Lots of dark fruit, smooth, easy-drinking, medium-bodied. It pairs well with anything from salty snacks to bloody steaks, even Baby Ruth bars.
