Hello Force and Grace! Tue, Sep 26, 23 It's always an exciting time in the store when we get new wines from winemakers who are industry leaders. Joseph Carr is one of those leaders, progressing from wine enthusiast to sommelier to wine industry executive before founding Joseph Carr winery and launching Josh Cellars in 2005. Named after his father, Josh wines are best sellers around the country and the world. Always one for conversation and exploration, when Carr met Jean Hoefliger, a similarly passionate and distinguished wine maker and industry executive, they knew they had to work together.Force & Grace was born to embody their core belief that "There is no grace without strength, no beauty without contrast, and no force without feeling." I had the great pleasure of meeting Joseph Carr and being among the first to taste one of the wines at a special wine dinner at nearby Pasta Pane restaurant. We were poured the Force & Grace Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. There are three in the Force & Grace Foundation Tier of wines for now - a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, a Paso Robles Cab, and a Carneros Chardonnay. They're all at Exit 9 now in the Josh section and also on the California wall. The first thing you'll notice is the beautiful labels created from select vineyard sites to truly express their terroirs. I tried the Force & Grace Napa Cab at the dinner and it was delicious - deep and expressive and redolent of ripe fruit, with silky tannins and a lingering finish of cocoa and cedar. If you're a fan of Joseph Carr and Josh Cellars - or if you've always wondered about the wines - get these wines to your tables. You're in for a treat. It's so fun to have great wines from around the world here in the store. Any questions, look for us on the wine side. Cheers! By Dominique De Vito
